Sahih Bukhari 3491 – English Translation
I asked Zainab bint Abi Salama رضی اللہ عنہا (i.e. daughter of the wife of the Prophet, "Tell me about the Prophet (ﷺ) . Did he belong to the tribe of Mudar?" She replied, "Yes, he belonged to the tribe of Mudar and was from the offspring of An-Nadr bin Kinana."
Sahih Bukhari 3491 – Urdu Translation
مجھ سے زینب بنت ابی سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا جو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی زیر پرورش رہ چکی تھیں ، کلیب نے بیان کیا کہ ہمیں نے زینب سے پوچھا : کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا تعلق قبیلہ مضر سے تھا ؟ انہوں نے کہا پھر کس قبیلہ سے تھا ؟ یقیناً آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم قبیلہ مضر کی شاخ بنی نضر بن کنانہ کی اولاد میں سے تھے ۔

حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ، حَدَّثَنَا كُلَيْبُ بْنُ وَائِلٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي رَبِيبَةُ النَّبِيِّ، صلى الله عليه وسلم زَيْنَبُ ابْنَةُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهَا أَرَأَيْتِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَكَانَ مِنْ مُضَرَ قَالَتْ فَمِمَّنْ كَانَ إِلاَّ مِنْ مُضَرَ مِنْ بَنِي النَّضْرِ بْنِ كِنَانَةَ.
