Sahih Bukhari 3456 – English Translation
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "You will follow the wrong ways, of your predecessors so completely and literally that if they should go into the hole of a mastigure, you too will go there." We said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Do you mean the Jews and the Christians?" He replied, "Whom else?" (Meaning, of course, the Jews and the Christians.)
Sahih Bukhari 3456 – Urdu Translation
نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا تم لوگ پہلی امتوں کے طریقوں کی قدم بقدم پیروی کرو گے یہاں تک کہ اگر وہ لوگ کسی ساہنہ کے سوراخ میں داخل ہوئے تو تم بھی اس میں داخل ہو گے ۔ ہم نے پوچھا یا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ! کیا آپ کی مراد پہلی امتوں سے یہود و نصاریٰ ہیں ؟ آپ نے فرمایا کون ہو سکتا ہے ؟
Sahih Bukhari 3456 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو غَسَّانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لَتَتَّبِعُنَّ سَنَنَ مَنْ قَبْلَكُمْ شِبْرًا بِشِبْرٍ، وَذِرَاعًا بِذِرَاعٍ، حَتَّى لَوْ سَلَكُوا جُحْرَ ضَبٍّ لَسَلَكْتُمُوهُ ". قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى قَالَ " فَمَنْ ".
