Sahih Bukhari 3445 – English Translation
I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "Do not exaggerate in praising me as the Christians praised the son of Mary, for I am only a Slave. So, call me the Slave of Allah and His Apostle."
Sahih Bukhari 3445 – Urdu Translation
میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا ، آپ نے فرمایا مجھے میرے مرتبے سے زیادہ نہ بڑھاؤ جیسے عیسیٰ ابن مریم علیہما السلام کو نصاریٰ نے ان کے رتبے سے زیادہ بڑھا دیا ہے ۔ میں تو صرف اللہ کا بندہ ہوں ، اس لئے یہی کہا کرو ( میرے متعلق ) کہ میں اللہ کا بندہ اور اس کا رسول ہوں ۔
Sahih Bukhari 3445 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الزُّهْرِيَّ، يَقُولُ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، سَمِعَ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ يَقُولُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " لاَ تُطْرُونِي كَمَا أَطْرَتِ النَّصَارَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ، فَإِنَّمَا أَنَا عَبْدُهُ، فَقُولُوا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولُهُ ".
