Sahih Bukhari 3074 – English Translation
There was a man who looked after the family and the belongings of the Prophet (ﷺ) and he was called Karkara. The man died and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "He is in the '(Hell) Fire." The people then went to look at him and found in his place, a cloak he had stolen from the war booty. Abu Abdullah Bukhari says that Ibn-e-Salam says: Karkarah is with (upper diacritic) on alphabet Kaaf and it is more valid.
Sahih Bukhari 3074 – Urdu Translation
نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے سامان و اسباب پر ایک صاحب مقرر تھے ‘ جن کا نام کرکرہ تھا ۔ ان کا انتقال ہو گیا ‘ آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ وہ تو جہنم میں گیا ۔ صحابہ انہیں دیکھنے گئے تو ایک عباء جسے خیانت کر کے انہوں نے چھپا لیا تھا ان کے یہاں ملی ۔ ابوعبداللہ ( امام بخاری رحمہ اللہ ) نے کہا کہ محمد بن سلام نے ( ابن عیینہ سے نقل کیا اور ) کہا یہ لفظ کرکرہ بفتح کاف ہے اور اسی طرح منقول ہے ۔

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ كَانَ عَلَى ثَقَلِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَجُلٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ كِرْكِرَةُ فَمَاتَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " هُوَ فِي النَّارِ ". فَذَهَبُوا يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْهِ فَوَجَدُوا عَبَاءَةً قَدْ غَلَّهَا. قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ ابْنُ سَلاَمٍ كَرْكَرَةُ، يَعْنِي بِفَتْحِ الْكَافِ، وَهْوَ مَضْبُوطٌ كَذَا.
