Sahih Bukhari 3069 – English Translation
He was riding a horse on the day, the Muslims fought (against the Byzantines), and the commander of the Muslim army was Khalid bin Al-Walid رضی اللہ عنہ who had been appointed by Abu Bakr رضی اللہ عنہ . The enemy took the horse away, and when the enemy was defeated, Khalid رضی اللہ عنہ returned the horse to him.
Sahih Bukhari 3069 – Urdu Translation
جس دن اسلامی لشکر کی مڈبھیڑ ( رومیوں سے ) ہوئی تو وہ ایک گھوڑے پر سوار تھے ۔ سالار فوج حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ کی طرف سے خالد بن ولید رضی اللہ عنہ تھے ۔ پھر گھوڑے کو دشمنوں نے پکڑ لیا ‘ لیکن جب انہیں شکست ہوئی تو حضرت خالد رضی اللہ عنہ نے گھوڑا عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو واپس کر دیا ۔

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما أَنَّهُ كَانَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ يَوْمَ لَقِيَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ، وَأَمِيرُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، بَعَثَهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ، فَأَخَذَهُ الْعَدُوُّ، فَلَمَّا هُزِمَ الْعَدُوُّ رَدَّ خَالِدٌ فَرَسَهُ.
