Sahih Bukhari 3002 – English Translation
`Umar bin Al-Khattab رضی اللہ عنہ gave a horse to be ridden in Allah's Cause and then he found it being sold. He intended to purchase it. So, he consulted Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) who said, "Don't buy it and don't take back your gift of charity."
Sahih Bukhari 3002 – Urdu Translation
عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ نے ایک گھوڑا اللہ کے راستے میں سواری کے لیے دے دیا تھا ، پھر انہوں نے دیکھا کہ وہی گھوڑا فروخت ہو رہا ہے ۔ انہوں نے چاہا کہ اسے خرید لیں ۔ لیکن جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اجازت چاہی تو آپ نے فرمایا کہ اب تم اسے نہ خریدو ، اور اپنے صدقہ کو واپس نہ پھیرو ۔
Sahih Bukhari 3002 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، حَمَلَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَوَجَدَهُ يُبَاعُ، فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَبْتَاعَهُ، فَسَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " لاَ تَبْتَعْهُ، وَلاَ تَعُدْ فِي صَدَقَتِكَ ".
