Sahih Bukhari 2971 – English Translation
`Umar رضی اللہ عنہ gave a horse to be used in Allah's Cause, but later on he found it being sold. So, he intended to buy it and asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) who said, "Don't buy it and don't take back your gift of charity."
Sahih Bukhari 2971 – Urdu Translation
عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ نے اللہ کے راستے میں اپنا ایک گھوڑا سواری کے لیے دے دیا تھا ۔ پھر انہوں نے دیکھا کہ وہی گھوڑا بک رہا ہے ۔ اپنے گھوڑے کو انہوں نے خریدنا چاہا اور رسول کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اس کے متعلق پوچھا ، تو آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ تم اسے نہ خریدو ۔ اور اس طرح اپنے صدقہ کو واپس نہ لو ۔
Sahih Bukhari 2971 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، حَمَلَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، فَوَجَدَهُ يُبَاعُ، فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَبْتَاعَهُ، فَسَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " لاَ تَبْتَعْهُ، وَلاَ تَعُدْ فِي صَدَقَتِكَ ".
