Sahih Bukhari 2770 – English Translation
A man said to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) , "My mother died, will it benefit her if I give in charity on her behalf?" The Prophet (ﷺ) replied in the affirmative. The man said, "I have a garden and I make you a witness that I give it in charity on her behalf."
Sahih Bukhari 2770 – Urdu Translation
ایک صحابی سعد بن عبادہ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا کہ ان کی ماں کا انتقال ہو گیا ہے ۔ کیا اگر وہ ان کی طرف سے خیرات کریں تو انہیں اس کا فائدہ پہنچے گا ؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے جواب دیا کہ ہاں ۔ اس پر ان صحابی نے کہا کہ میرا ایک پر میوہ باغ ہے اور میں آپ کو گواہ بناتا ہوں کہ میں نے وہ ان کی طرف سے صدقہ کر دیا ۔
Sahih Bukhari 2770 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ، أَخْبَرَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّاءُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما أَنَّ رَجُلاً، قَالَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِنَّ أُمَّهُ تُوُفِّيَتْ أَيَنْفَعُهَا إِنْ تَصَدَّقْتُ عَنْهَا قَالَ " نَعَمْ ". قَالَ فَإِنَّ لِي مِخْرَافًا وَأُشْهِدُكَ أَنِّي قَدْ تَصَدَّقْتُ عَنْهَا.
