Sahih Bukhari 2514 – English Translation
I wrote a letter to Ibn `Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما and he wrote to me that the Prophet (ﷺ) had given the verdict that the defendant had to take an oath.
Sahih Bukhari 2514 – Urdu Translation
میں نے عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کی خدمت میں ( دو عوتوں کے مقدمہ میں ) لکھا تو اس کے جواب میں انہوں نے تحریر فرمایا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فیصلہ کیا تھا کہ ( اگر مدعی گواہ نہ پیش کر سکے ) تو مدعیٰ علیہ سے قسم لی جائے گی ۔

حَدَّثَنَا خَلاَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، قَالَ كَتَبْتُ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَكَتَبَ إِلَىَّ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَضَى أَنَّ الْيَمِينَ عَلَى الْمُدَّعَى عَلَيْهِ.
