Sahih Bukhari 2509 – English Translation
They discussed pledge in the presence of Ibrahim Nakhi and the practice of the predecessors regarding pledge. Ibrahim Nakhi said that Aswad has reported from Hadrat Aishah رضی اللہ عنہا:The Prophet (ﷺ) bought some foodstuff on credit for a limited period and mortgaged his armor for it.

ہم نے ابراہیم نخعی رحمہ اللہ کے یہاں قرض میں رہن اور ضامن کا ذکر کیا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے اسود نے بیان کیا اور ان سے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک یہودی سے غلہ خریدا ایک مقررہ مدت کے قرض پر اور اپنی زرہ اس کے ہاں گروی رکھی تھی ۔

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، قَالَ تَذَاكَرْنَا عِنْدَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الرَّهْنَ، وَالْقَبِيلَ فِي السَّلَفِ، فَقَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ حَدَّثَنَا الأَسْوَدُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم اشْتَرَى مِنْ يَهُودِيٍّ طَعَامًا إِلَى أَجَلٍ وَرَهَنَهُ دِرْعَهُ.
