Sahih Bukhari 2490 – English Translation
"While at Medina we were struck with famine. Ibn Az-Zubair used to provide us with dates as our food. Ibn `Umar رضی اللہ عنہما used to pass by us and say, "Don't eat two dates together at a time as the Prophet (ﷺ) has forbidden eating two dates together at a time (in a gathering) unless one takes the permission of one's companion brother."
Sahih Bukhari 2490 – Urdu Translation
ہمارا قیام مدینہ میں تھا اور ہم پر قحط کا دور دورہ ہوا ۔ عبداللہ بن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہما ہمیں کھجور کھانے کے لیے دیتے تھے اور عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما گزرتے ہوئے یہ کہہ کر جایا کرتے تھے کہ دو دو کھجور ایک ساتھ ملا کر نہ کھانا کیونکہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے دوسرے ساتھی کی اجازت کے بغیر ایسا کرنے سے منع فرمایا ہے ۔

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ جَبَلَةَ، قَالَ كُنَّا بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَأَصَابَتْنَا سَنَةٌ، فَكَانَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ يَرْزُقُنَا التَّمْرَ، وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَمُرُّ بِنَا فَيَقُولُ لاَ تَقْرُنُوا فَإِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنِ الإِقْرَانِ، إِلاَّ أَنْ يَسْتَأْذِنَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْكُمْ أَخَاهُ.
