Sahih Bukhari 2455 – English Translation
"We were in Medina with some of the Iraqi people, and we were struck with famine and Ibn Az- Zubair رضی اللہ عنہما used to give us dates. Ibn `Umar رضی اللہ عنہما used to pass by and say, "The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade us to eat two dates at a time, unless one takes the permission of one's companions."
Sahih Bukhari 2455 – Urdu Translation
ہم بعض اہل عراق کے ساتھ مدینہ میں مقیم تھے ۔ وہاں ہمیں قحط میں مبتلا ہوناپڑا ۔ عبداللہ بن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہما کھانے کے لیے ہمارے پاس کھجور بھجوایا کرتے تھے ۔ اور عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما جب ہماری طرف سے گزرتے تو فرماتے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ( دوسرے لوگوں کے ساتھ مل کر کھاتے وقت ) دو کھجور کو ایک ساتھ ملا کر کھانے سے منع فرمایا ہے مگر یہ کہ تم میں سے کوئی شخص اپنے بھائی سے اجازت لے لے ۔
Sahih Bukhari 2455 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ جَبَلَةَ، كُنَّا بِالْمَدِينَةِ فِي بَعْضِ أَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ، فَأَصَابَنَا سَنَةٌ، فَكَانَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ يَرْزُقُنَا التَّمْرَ، فَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ يَمُرُّ بِنَا فَيَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنِ الإِقْرَانِ، إِلاَّ أَنْ يَسْتَأْذِنَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْكُمْ أَخَاهُ.
