Sahih Bukhari 2197 – English Translation
The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the sale of fruits till their benefit is evident; and the sale of date palms till the dates are almost ripe. He was asked what 'are almost ripe' meant. He replied, "Got red and yellow."
Sahih Bukhari 2197 – Urdu Translation
نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پختہ ہونے سے پہلے پھلوں کو بیچنے سے منع فرمایا ہے اور کھجور کے باغ کو «زهو» سے پہلے بیچنے سے منع فرمایا ، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا گیا کہ «زهو» کسے کہتے ہیں تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے جواب دیا مائل بہ سرخی یا مائل بہ زردی ہونے کو کہتے ہیں ۔

حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَلًّى، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهَا، وَعَنِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى يَزْهُوَ. قِيلَ وَمَا يَزْهُو قَالَ يَحْمَارُّ أَوْ يَصْفَارُّ.
