Sahih Bukhari 2189 – English Translation
The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the selling of fruits unless they get ripe, and none of them should be sold except for Dinar or Dirham (i.e. money), except the 'Araya trees (the dates of which could be sold for dates).
Sahih Bukhari 2189 – Urdu Translation
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کھجور کے پکنے سے پہلے بیچنے سے منع کیا ہے اور یہ کہ اس میں سے ذرہ برابر بھی درہم و دینا کے سوا کسی اور چیز ( سوکھے پھل ) کے بدلے نہ بیچی جائے البتہ عریہ کی اجازت دی ۔

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، وَأَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ نَهَى النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّى يَطِيبَ، وَلاَ يُبَاعُ شَىْءٌ مِنْهُ إِلاَّ بِالدِّينَارِ وَالدِّرْهَمِ إِلاَّ الْعَرَايَا.
