Sahih Bukhari 2084 – English Translation
When the last Verses of Surat al- Baqara were revealed, the Prophet (ﷺ) recited them in the mosque and proclaimed the trade of alcohol as illegal.
Sahih Bukhari 2084 – Urdu Translation
جب ( سورۃ ) بقرہ کی آخری آیتیں «الذين يأكلون الربا *** الخ» نازل ہوئیں تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہم کو مسجد میں پڑھ کر سنایا ۔ اس کے بعد ان پر شراب کی تجارت حرام کر دیا ۔

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ قَالَتْ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ آخِرُ الْبَقَرَةِ قَرَأَهُنَّ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَيْهِمْ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، ثُمَّ حَرَّمَ التِّجَارَةَ فِي الْخَمْرِ.
