Sahih Bukhari 2079 – English Translation
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The seller and the buyer have the right to keep or return goods as long as they have not parted or till they part; and if both the parties spoke the truth and described the defects and qualities (of the goods), then they would be blessed in their transaction, and if they told lies or hid something, then the blessings of their transaction would be lost."
Sahih Bukhari 2079 – Urdu Translation
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ، خریدنے اور بیچنے والوں کو اس وقت تک اختیار ( بیع ختم کر دینے کا ) ہے جب تک دونوں جدا نہ ہوں یا آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ( «ما لم يتفرقا» کے بجائے ) «حتى يتفرقا» فرمایا ۔ ( آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مزید ارشاد فرمایا ) پس اگر دونوں نے سچائی سے کام لیا اور ہر بات صاف صاف کھول دی تو ان کی خریدوفروخت میں برکت ہوتی ہے لیکن اگر کوئی بات چھپا رکھی یا جھوٹ کہی تو ان کی برکت ختم کر دی جاتی ہے ۔
Sahih Bukhari 2079 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ أَبِي الْخَلِيلِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، رَفَعَهُ إِلَى حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " الْبَيِّعَانِ بِالْخِيَارِ مَا لَمْ يَتَفَرَّقَا ـ أَوْ قَالَ حَتَّى يَتَفَرَّقَا ـ فَإِنْ صَدَقَا وَبَيَّنَا بُورِكَ لَهُمَا فِي بَيْعِهِمَا، وَإِنْ كَتَمَا وَكَذَبَا مُحِقَتْ بَرَكَةُ بَيْعِهِمَا ".
