Sahih Bukhari 2078 – English Translation
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "There was a merchant who used to lend the people, and whenever his debtor was in straitened circumstances, he would say to his employees, 'Forgive him so that Allah may forgive us.' So, Allah forgave him."
Sahih Bukhari 2078 – Urdu Translation
نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ، ایک تاجر لوگوں کو قرض دیا کرتا تھا جب کسی تنگ دست کو دیکھتا تو اپنے نوکروں سے کہہ دیتا کہ اس سے درگزر کر جاؤ ۔ شاید کہ اللہ تعالیٰ بھی ہم سے ( آخرت میں ) درگزر فرمائے ۔ چنانچہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے ( اس کے مرنے کے بعد ) اس کو بخش دیا ۔
Sahih Bukhari 2078 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الزُّبَيْدِيُّ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " كَانَ تَاجِرٌ يُدَايِنُ النَّاسَ، فَإِذَا رَأَى مُعْسِرًا قَالَ لِفِتْيَانِهِ تَجَاوَزُوا عَنْهُ، لَعَلَّ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَتَجَاوَزَ عَنَّا، فَتَجَاوَزَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ".
