Sahih Bukhari 1971 – English Translation
The Prophet (ﷺ) never fasted a full month except the month of Ramadan, and he used to fast till one could say, "By Allah, he will never stop fasting," and he would abandon fasting till one would say, "By Allah, he will never fast."
Sahih Bukhari 1971 – Urdu Translation
رمضان کے سوا نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کبھی پورے مہینے کا روزہ نہیں رکھا ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نفل روزہ رکھنے لگتے تو دیکھنے والا کہہ اٹھتاکہ بخدا ، اب آپ بے روزہ نہیں رہیں گے اور اسی طرح جب نفل روزہ چھوڑ دیتے تو کہنے والا کہتا کہ واللہ ! اب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم روزہ نہیں رکھیں گے ۔
Sahih Bukhari 1971 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ مَا صَامَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم شَهْرًا كَامِلاً قَطُّ غَيْرَ رَمَضَانَ، وَيَصُومُ حَتَّى يَقُولَ الْقَائِلُ لاَ وَاللَّهِ لاَ يُفْطِرُ، وَيُفْطِرُ حَتَّى يَقُولَ الْقَائِلُ لاَ وَاللَّهِ لاَ يَصُومُ.
