Sahih Bukhari 1961 – English Translation
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Do not practice Al-Wisal (fasting continuously without breaking one's fast in the evening or eating before the following dawn)." The people said to the Prophet, "But you practice Al- Wisal?" The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "I am not like any of you, for I am given food and drink (by Allah) during the night."
Sahih Bukhari 1961 – Urdu Translation
نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ( بلا سحر و افطار ) پے در پے روزے نہ رکھا کرو ۔ صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہم نے عرض کی کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تو وصال کرتے ہیں ؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ میں تمہاری طرح نہیں ہوں ۔ مجھے ( اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف سے ) کھلایا اور پلایا جاتا ہے یا ( آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہ فرمایا کہ ) میں اس طرح رات گزارتا ہوں کہ مجھے کھلایا اور پلایا جاتا رہتا ہے ۔
Sahih Bukhari 1961 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ تُوَاصِلُوا ". قَالُوا إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ. قَالَ " لَسْتُ كَأَحَدٍ مِنْكُمْ، إِنِّي أُطْعَمُ وَأُسْقَى، أَوْ إِنِّي أَبِيتُ أُطْعَمُ وَأُسْقَى ".
