Sahih Bukhari 1905 – English Translation
While I was walking with `Abdullah رضی اللہ عنہ he said, "We were in the company of the Prophet (ﷺ) and he said, 'He who can afford to marry should marry, because it will help him refrain from looking at other women, and save his private parts from committing illegal sexual relation; and he who cannot afford to marry is advised to fast, as fasting will diminish his sexual power."
Sahih Bukhari 1905 – Urdu Translation
عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کے ساتھ جا رہا تھا ۔ آپ نے کہا کہ ہم نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا اگر کوئی صاحب طاقت ہو تو اسے نکاح کر لینا چاہئے کیونکہ نظر کو نیچی رکھنے اور شرمگاہ کو بدفعلی سے محفوظ رکھنے کا یہ ذریعہ ہے اور کسی میں نکاح کرنے کی طاقت نہ ہو تو اسے روزے رکھنے چاہئیں کیونکہ وہ اس کی شہوت کو ختم کر دیتا ہے ۔
Sahih Bukhari 1905 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، قَالَ بَيْنَا أَنَا أَمْشِي، مَعَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ فَقَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ الْبَاءَةَ فَلْيَتَزَوَّجْ، فَإِنَّهُ أَغَضُّ لِلْبَصَرِ وَأَحْصَنُ لِلْفَرْجِ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَعَلَيْهِ بِالصَّوْمِ، فَإِنَّهُ لَهُ وِجَاءٌ ".
