Sahih Bukhari 1597 – English Translation
`Umar رضی اللہ عنہ came near the Black Stone and kissed it and said "No doubt, I know that you are a stone and can neither benefit anyone nor harm anyone. Had I not seen Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) kissing you I would not have kissed you."
Sahih Bukhari 1597 – Urdu Translation
حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ حجراسود کے پاس آئے اور اسے بوسہ دیا اور فرمایا ”میں خوب جانتا ہوں کہ تو صرف ایک پتھر ہے ، نہ کسی کو نقصان پہنچا سکتا ہے نہ نفع ۔ اگر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو تجھے بوسہ دیتے ہوئے میں نہ دیکھتا تو میں بھی کبھی تجھے بوسہ نہ دیتا ۔“
Sahih Bukhari 1597 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَابِسِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّهُ جَاءَ إِلَى الْحَجَرِ الأَسْوَدِ فَقَبَّلَهُ، فَقَالَ إِنِّي أَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ حَجَرٌ لاَ تَضُرُّ وَلاَ تَنْفَعُ، وَلَوْلاَ أَنِّي رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُقَبِّلُكَ مَا قَبَّلْتُكَ.
