Sahih Bukhari 1569 – English Translation
`Ali and `Uthman رضی اللہ عنہما differed regarding Hajj-at-Tamattu` while they were at 'Usfan (a familiar place near Mecca). `Ali رضی اللہ عنہما said, "I see you want to forbid people to do a thing that the Prophet (ﷺ) did?" When `Ali saw that, he assumed Ihram for both Hajj and `Umra.
Sahih Bukhari 1569 – Urdu Translation
حضرت عثمان اور حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہما عسفان آئے تو ان میں باہم تمتع کے سلسلے میں اختلاف ہوا تو حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا کہ جس کو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نےکہا ہے اس سے آپ کیوں روک رہے ہیں ؟ اس پر عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا کہ مجھے اپنے حال پر رہنے دو ۔ یہ دیکھ کر علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے حج اور عمرہ دونوں کا احرام ایک ساتھ باندھا ۔

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَعْوَرُ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، قَالَ اخْتَلَفَ عَلِيٌّ وَعُثْمَانُ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ وَهُمَا بِعُسْفَانَ فِي الْمُتْعَةِ، فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ مَا تُرِيدُ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَنْهَى عَنْ أَمْرٍ فَعَلَهُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم. فَلَمَّا رَأَى ذَلِكَ عَلِيٌّ أَهَلَّ بِهِمَا جَمِيعًا.
