Sahih Bukhari 1510 – English Translation
In the lifetime of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) , we used to give one Sa' of food (edible things) as Sadaqat-ul-Fitr (to the poor). Hadrat Abu Saeed said: Our food used to be either of barley, raisins (dried grapes), cottage cheese or dates.
Sahih Bukhari 1510 – Urdu Translation
ہم نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانہ میں عیدالفطر کے دن ( کھانے کے غلہ سے ) ایک صاع نکالتے تھے ۔ ابوسعید رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ ہمارا کھانا ( ان دنوں ) جَو ، زبیب ، پنیر اور کھجور تھا ۔

حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُمَرَ، عَنْ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ كُنَّا نُخْرِجُ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ صَاعًا مِنْ طَعَامٍ. وَقَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ وَكَانَ طَعَامَنَا الشَّعِيرُ وَالزَّبِيبُ وَالأَقِطُ وَالتَّمْرُ.
