Sahih Bukhari 1480 – English Translation
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No doubt, it is better for a person to take a rope and proceed in the morning to the mountains and cut the wood and then sell it, and eat from this income and give alms from it than to ask others for something." Abu Abdullah said: Sualih bin Kaisaan was older than Zuhri and he met hadrat Ibn-e-Umer.
Sahih Bukhari 1480 – Urdu Translation
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا اگر تم میں سے کوئی شخص اپنی رسی لے کر ( میرا خیال ہے کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یوں فرمایا ) پہاڑوں میں چلا جائے پھر لکڑیاں جمع کر کے انہیں فروخت کرے ۔ اس سے کھائے بھی اور صدقہ بھی کرے ۔ یہ اس کے لیے اس سے بہتر ہے کہ لوگوں کے سامنے ہاتھ پھیلائے ۔
Sahih Bukhari 1480 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لأَنْ يَأْخُذَ أَحَدُكُمْ حَبْلَهُ، ثُمَّ يَغْدُوَ ـ أَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ ـ إِلَى الْجَبَلِ فَيَحْتَطِبَ، فَيَبِيعَ فَيَأْكُلَ وَيَتَصَدَّقَ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَسْأَلَ النَّاسَ ". قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ صَالِحُ بْنُ كَيْسَانَ أَكْبَرُ مِنَ الزُّهْرِيِّ، وَهُوَ قَدْ أَدْرَكَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ.
