Sahih Bukhari 1417 – English Translation
I heard the prophet (ﷺ) saying ",Save yourself from Hell-fire even by giving half a date-fruit in charity."
Sahih Bukhari 1417 – Urdu Translation
میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ کہتے سنا کہ جہنم سے بچو اگرچہ کھجور کا ایک ٹکڑا دے کر ہی سہی ( مگر ضرور صدقہ کر کے دوزخ کی آگ سے بچنے کی کوشش کرو ) ۔

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَعْقِلٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَدِيَّ بْنَ حَاتِمٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " اتَّقُوا النَّارَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ ".
