Sahih Bukhari 1315 – English Translation
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Hurry up with the dead body for if it was righteous, you are forwarding it to welfare; and if it was otherwise, then you are putting off an evil thing down your necks."
Sahih Bukhari 1315 – Urdu Translation
نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ جنازہ لے کر جلد چلا کرو کیونکہ اگر وہ نیک ہے تو تم اس کو بھلائی کی طرف نزدیک کر رہے ہو اور اگر اس کے سوا ہے تو ایک شر ہے جسے تم اپنی گردنوں سے اتارتے ہو ۔

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ حَفِظْنَاهُ مِنَ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " أَسْرِعُوا بِالْجِنَازَةِ، فَإِنْ تَكُ صَالِحَةً فَخَيْرٌ تُقَدِّمُونَهَا {إِلَيْهِ}، وَإِنْ يَكُ سِوَى ذَلِكَ فَشَرٌّ تَضَعُونَهُ عَنْ رِقَابِكُمْ ".
