Sahih Bukhari 1297 – English Translation
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "He who slaps the cheeks, tears the clothes and follows the tradition of the Days of Ignorance is not from us."
Sahih Bukhari 1297 – Urdu Translation
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا جو شخص ( کسی میت پر ) اپنے رخسار پیٹے ‘ گریبان پھاڑے اور عہد جاہلیت کی سی باتیں کرے وہ ہم میں سے نہیں ہے ۔

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ ضَرَبَ الْخُدُودَ، وَشَقَّ الْجُيُوبَ، وَدَعَا بِدَعْوَى الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ ".
