Sahih Bukhari 1292 – English Translation
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The deceased is tortured in his grave for the wailing done over him." Narrated Shu'ba: The deceased is tortured for the wailing of the living ones over him .
Sahih Bukhari 1292 – Urdu Translation
نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ میت کو اس پر نوحہ کئے جانے کی وجہ سے بھی قبر میں عذاب ہوتا ہے ۔ عبدان کے ساتھ اس حدیث کو عبدالاعلیٰ نے بھی یزید بن زریع سے روایت کیا ۔ انہوں نے کہا ہم سے سعید بن ابی عروبہ نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے قتادہ نے ۔ اور آدم بن ابی ایاس نے شعبہ سے یوں روایت کیا کہ میت پر زندے کے رونے سے عذاب ہوتا ہے ۔
Sahih Bukhari 1292 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " الْمَيِّتُ يُعَذَّبُ فِي قَبْرِهِ بِمَا نِيحَ عَلَيْهِ ". تَابَعَهُ عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ. وَقَالَ آدَمُ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ " الْمَيِّتُ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ الْحَىِّ عَلَيْهِ ".
