Sahih Bukhari 1113 – English Translation
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) prayed in his house while sitting during his illness and the people prayed behind him standing and he pointed to them to sit down. When he had finished the prayer, he said, "The Imam is to be followed and so when he bows you should bow; and when he lifts his head you should also do the same."
Sahih Bukhari 1113 – Urdu Translation
نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بیمار تھے اس لیے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے گھر میں بیٹھ کر نماز پڑھائی ، بعض لوگ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پیچھے کھڑے ہو کر پڑھنے لگے ۔ لیکن آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں اشارہ کیا کہ بیٹھ جاؤ ۔ نماز سے فارغ ہونے کے بعد آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ امام اس لیے ہے کہ اس کی پیروی کی جائے اس لیے جب وہ رکوع کرے تو تم بھی رکوع کرو اور جب وہ سر اٹھائے تو تم بھی سر اٹھاؤ ۔
Sahih Bukhari 1113 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي بَيْتِهِ وَهْوَ شَاكٍ، فَصَلَّى جَالِسًا وَصَلَّى وَرَاءَهُ قَوْمٌ قِيَامًا، فَأَشَارَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَنِ اجْلِسُوا، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ " إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الإِمَامُ لِيُؤْتَمَّ بِهِ، فَإِذَا رَكَعَ فَارْكَعُوا، وَإِذَا رَفَعَ فَارْفَعُوا ".
