Rizq ki dua is a supplication asking Allah for halal provision and barakah in what He gives. The best known rizq ki dua is the short prayer of Prophet Musa (Moses) from Surah Al-Qasas, which many people also search as “rizq mein barkat ki dua”, “rozi ki dua” or “dua for rizq”. On this page you will find its Arabic text with a copy button, Roman Urdu, Urdu tarjuma, English meaning and translations, plus two more Quranic verses about provision.
This dua is part of verse 24 of Surah Al-Qasas (chapter 28). It is short, easy to memorise and can be read at any time.
Rabbi inni lima anzalta ilayya min khairin faqir.
Say “Rabbi” with a doubled “b” and “ilayya” with a doubled “y”. When you stop at the end, the last word is read as “faqir”.
“My Lord, indeed I am in need of whatever good You send down to me.” (Quran 28:24)
The dua does not name money, food or a job. It admits complete need before Allah and leaves the choice of “good” to Him. That is why it suits every kind of need, from daily bread to work, a home or a righteous spouse.
The dua comes in Surah Al-Qasas, verse 24. Prophet Musa had left Egypt and reached the wells of Madyan alone, tired and without provision. He helped two women water their flocks, then turned aside to the shade and made this dua.
The verses that follow tell how Allah answered him: one of the two women soon came back to invite him to meet her father, and Musa found shelter, work and later a family there. The lesson is that a sincere dua, joined with good action, opens doors.
These words are part of the dua of Prophet Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam, in Surah Al-Maidah, verse 114. They are a simple way to ask Allah for provision while praising Him as the best provider.
Roman Urdu: Warzuqna wa anta khairur raziqin.
English: “…and provide for us, and You are the best of providers.” (Quran 5:114)
This is not a dua but a promise from Allah in Surah At-Talaq, verses 2–3. Many people read it alongside rizq ki dua as a reminder that obeying Allah is itself a cause of provision.
Roman Urdu: Wa man yattaqillaha yaj’al lahu makhraja, wa yarzuqhu min haythu la yahtasib.
English: “And whoever fears Allah, He will make for him a way out, and will provide for him from where he does not expect.” (Quran 65:2–3)
The Prophet ﷺ taught that keeping good ties with relatives is a cause of wider provision. He said: “Whoever desires an expansion in his sustenance and age should keep good relations with his kith and kin.” This is reported in Sahih Bukhari 2067 and, with similar words, in Sahih Bukhari 5986.
He ﷺ also taught trust in Allah. In Jami at-Tirmidhi 2344 he said that if people relied on Allah as He truly deserves, He would provide for them as He provides for the birds, which go out hungry in the morning and return full in the evening. Note that the birds still leave their nests: trust goes together with effort.
The Quran does not fix a time or a number for this dua, so you can read rizq ki dua whenever you feel in need. Many Muslims find these moments helpful:
Read it slowly with attention to the meaning. Since it is a Quranic dua, the words stay the same, and you may also ask Allah in your own language for the specific need you have.
Remember that rizq ki dua is not a replacement for halal effort. Look for work, do your job honestly, avoid haram income and give charity. Dua and effort together are the way the Quran and Sunnah teach.
