Ayat kareema in Arabic Text Powerful Wazifa: #1

Ayat kareema in Arabic Text:

Ayat Kareema was recited by Hazrat Yonus(AS) when he was stuck in the stomach of a big fish. There ee remained for days and recited this ayah as an invocation to Allah Almighty as a result of which he finally succeeded in getting out of his misery and be among the people once again.

This short dua also encompasses the concept of tawheed, one of the most basic tenets of Islam. By saying this dua, you are consciously and deliberately declaring that Allah (swt) is the only deity, the exalted. You then show your humility by admitting your faults and weakness.

Transliteration: La Ilaha Illa Anta Subhanaka Inni Kuntu Minaz Zalimeen
Translation: “…There are none worthy of worship besides You. Glorified are You. Surely I am from the wrongdoers.” (21:87)

Ayat kareema

We should be constantly repenting to Allah (swt) at any moment we are free. We are all guilty of not making the best use of our time, some are better than others but we can all improve. We should all strive to have as little idle time as possible.

Moreover, the second part of the Ayat e Karima is “Anta Subhanaka”, which means Glorified be You. When asking someone for help or assistance of any kind, that person is usually glorified for their qualities; thus, when asking Allah Almighty, it is important to emphasize that all the glory rests with Him and only He is glorified.

Tirmidhi Hadith:

Ibrahim bin Muhammad bin Sa`d narrated from his father, from Sa`d that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The supplication of Dhun-Nun (Prophet Yunus) when he supplicated, while in the belly of the whale was: ‘There is none worthy of worship except You, Glory to You, Indeed, I have been of the transgressors. (Lā ilāha illā anta subḥānaka innī kuntu minaẓ-ẓālimīn)[ayat kareema]’ So indeed, no Muslim man supplicates with it for anything, ever, except Allah responds to him.”

Another Hadith:

Sa’d reported God’s messenger as saying that no Muslim will supplicate God for anything and fail to receive an answer when he uses Dhun Nun’s supplication when he was in the belly of the fish: “There is no god but Thee to whom be the glory. I was indeed a wrongdoer.” [Qur’an, 21:87] [ayat kareema]
Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Fasting in Shaban: Sahih Bukhari 1969

Fasting in Shaban:

Narrated `Aisha: Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) used to fast till one would say that he would never stop fasting, and he would abandon fasting till one would say that he would never fast. I never saw Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) fasting for a whole month except the month of Ramadan, and did not see him fasting in any month more than in the month of Shaban.

shab e barat ka roza: Sahih Muslim 2745

shab e barat ka roza:

The importance of the 15th night of Sha’ban is a subject of debate among Muslims. Some celebrate the night with special prayers and fast the following day, while others say that this practice is not from the Sunnah.

The reality is that scholars consider the hadiths about 15th Sha’ban as being sound (Sahih), good (Hassan) and weak (Dha’if). However, due to the fact that there are numerous hadith, and the weakness of many of the hadith is not severe, the virtue of this night is accepted as authentic by scholars.

Fasting in the middle of Sha’ban(15th Shaban):

Hadith 2745 Sahih Muslim

‘Imran b. Husain (Allah be pleased with them) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to him (or he said to another person and he was listening to it):O, so and so, did you observe fast in the middle of the month? He said: No. Thereupon he (the Messenger of Allah) said: When you break it, then observe fast for two days.

Youm e arfa fasting

Fasting on the day of ‘Arafa (9th of Dhu’I-Hijja)[Youm e arfa]::

Muslime Sharif Hadith(Youm e arfa)::

Abu Qatada al-Ansari (Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked about his fasting. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) felt annoyed. Thereupon ‘Umar (Allah be pleased with him) said: We are pleased with Allah as the Lord, with Islam as our Code of Life, with Muhammad as the Messenger and with our pledge (to you for willing and cheerful submission) as a (sacred) commitment. He was then asked about perpetual fasting, whereupon he said: He neither fasted nor did he break it, or he did not fast and he did not break it.

He was then asked about fasting for two days and breaking one day. He (the Holy Prophet) said: And who has strength enough to do it? He was asked about fasting for a day and breaking for two days, whereupon he said: May Allah bestow upon us strength to do it.

He was then asked about fasting for a day and breaking on the other, whereupon he said: That is the fasting of my brother David (peace be upon him).

He was then asked about fasting on Monday, whereupon he said: It was the day on which I was born. on which I was commissioned with prophethood or revelation was sent to me, (and he further) said: Three days’ fasting every month and of the whole of Ramadan every year is a perpetual fast.

He was asked about fasting on the day of ‘Arafa (Youm e arfa: 9th of Dhu’I-Hijja), whereupon he said: It expiates the sins of the preceding year and the coming year.

He was asked about fasting on the day of ‘Ashura (10th of Muharram), whereupon be said: It expiates the sins of the preceding year. (Imam Muslim said that in this hadith there is a) narration of Imam Shu’ba that he was asked about fasting on Monday and Thursday, but we (Imam Muslim) did not mention Thursday for we found it as an error (in reporting).

Hajj Badal and Sharia Rulings: 3 Conditions (English/Urdu)

What is Hajj Badal, Hajj e Badal, Badal Hajj, حج البدل and بدل حج ?

Hajj Badal and Hajj e Badal are terms generally used by the Muslims who originate from the Indo-Pak region; whilst Badal Hajj [ بدل حج ] and Hajj al-Badal [ حج البدل ] are Arabic terms.

The doing of the obligatory hajj on behalf of others can be done in following scenarios:

  1. who have died whilst not having done so;
  2. who are unable due to illness or disability;
  3. wishing to offer a voluntary hajj on behalf of someone.

hajj badal

Follwoing are the hadith references to support above three conditions.

1) Who have died whilst not having done so

Abdullah b. Buraida (Allah be pleased with him) reported on the authority of his father:
When we were sitting with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), a woman came to him and said: I had gifted to my mother a maid-servant, and now she (the mother) has died. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: There is a definite reward for you and she (the maid-servant) has been returned to you as an inheritance. She (that woman) again said: Fasts of a month (of Ramadan) are due upon her; should I observe them on her behalf? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Observe fasts on her behalf. She (again) said: She did not perform Hajj, should I perform it(Hajj Badal) on her behalf? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Perform Hajj on her behalf.

2) Who are unable due to illness or disability

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Abbas: Al-Fadl (his brother) was riding behind Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) and a woman from the tribe of Khath’am came and Al-Fadl started looking at her and she started looking at him. The Prophet (ﷺ) turned Al-Fadl’s face to the other side. The woman said, “O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! The obligation of Hajj enjoined by Allah on His devotees has become due on my father and he is old and weak, and he cannot sit firm on the Mount; may I perform Hajj(Hajj Badal) on his behalf?” The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, “Yes, you may.” That happened during the Hajj-al-Wida (of the Prophet (ﷺ) ).

3) Wishing to offer a voluntary hajj on behalf of someone.

He asked: Have you performed hajj on your own behalf? He said: No. He said: perform hajj on your own behalf, then perform it(Hajj Badal) on behalf of Shubrumah.

Sexual intercourse with wife in Ramadan: Avoid it

Sexual intercourse with wife:

Narrated Abu Huraira: While we were sitting with the Prophet (ﷺ) a man came and said, “O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! I have been ruined.” Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) asked what was the matter with him. He replied “I had sexual intercourse with my wife while I was fasting.” Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) asked him, “Can you afford to manumit a slave?” He replied in the negative. Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) asked him, “Can you fast for two successive months?” He replied in the negative. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked him, “Can you afford to feed sixty poor persons?” He replied in the negative.

The Prophet (ﷺ) kept silent and while we were in that state, a big basket full of dates was brought to the Prophet (ﷺ) . He asked, “Where is the questioner?” He replied, “I (am here).” The Prophet (ﷺ) said (to him), “Take this (basket of dates) and give it in charity.” The man said, “Should I give it to a person poorer than I? By Allah; there is no family between its (i.e. Medina’s) two mountains who are poorer than I.” The Prophet (ﷺ) smiled till his premolar teeth became visible and then said, ‘Feed your family with it.”

Raiyan or Rayyan: Sahih al-Bukhari 1896

Sahih Bukhari 1896:

Narrated Sahl:  The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “There is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Raiyan(Rayyan), and those who observe fasts will enter through it on the Day of Resurrection and none except them will enter through it. It will be said, ‘Where are those who used to observe fasts?’ They will get up, and none except them will enter through it. After their entry the gate will be closed and nobody will enter through it.”

Rayyan: The Virtue of Fasting: Sahih Muslim 1152

Sahih Muslim 1152:

Sahl b. Sa’d (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: In Paradise there is a gate which is called Rayyan through which only the people who fast would enter on the Day on Resurrection. None else would enter along with them. It would be proclaimed: Where are the people who fast that they should be admitted into it? And when the last of them would enter, it would be closed and no one would enter it.[ Sahih Muslim 1152 ]
