Sahih Bukhari 5538 – English Translation
A mouse fell into the butter-fat and died. The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked about that. He said, "Throw away the mouse and the butter-fat that surrounded it, and eat the rest of the butter-fat (As-Samn). It was said to Sufyan; Mamar from Zuhri and he reports it from Hadrat Abu Hurairah رضی اللہ عنہ with reference to Saeed bin Mosayyab? He replied: I have heard it time and again from Zuhri with only this chain i.e. Obaidullah from Hadrat Ibn-e-Abbas رضی اللہ عنہ, he from Hadrat Maimunah and he from the prophet ﷺ.

ایک چوہا گھی میں پڑ کرمرگیا تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اس کا حکم پوچھا گیا ۔ آپ نے فرمایا کہ چوہے کو اور اس کے چاروں طرف سے گھی کو پھینک دو اور باقی گھی کو کھاؤ ۔ سفیان سے کہا گیا کہ معمر اس حدیث کو زہری سے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ان سے سعید بن مسیب اور ان سے حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا ، انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے یہ حدیث زہری سے صرف عبیداللہ سے بیان کرتے سنی ہے کہ ان سے حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے ، ان سے حضرت میمونہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے اور ان سے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا اور میں نے یہ حدیث ان سے بارہا سنی ہے ۔

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، يُحَدِّثُهُ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ، أَنَّ فَأْرَةً، وَقَعَتْ، فِي سَمْنٍ فَمَاتَتْ، فَسُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْهَا فَقَالَ " أَلْقُوهَا وَمَا حَوْلَهَا وَكُلُوهُ ". قِيلَ لِسُفْيَانَ فَإِنَّ مَعْمَرًا يُحَدِّثُهُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ. قَالَ مَا سَمِعْتُ الزُّهْرِيَّ يَقُولُ إِلاَّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَلَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْهُ مِرَارًا.
