Sahih Bukhari 5074 – English Translation
The Prophet (ﷺ) prevented `Uthman bin Mazun رضی اللہ عنہ from that (not marrying), and had he allowed him, we would have got ourselves castrated.
Sahih Bukhari 5074 – Urdu Translation
نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حضرت عثمان بن مظعون رضی اللہ عنہ کو عورت سے الگ رہنے کی اجازت نہیں دی تھی ۔ اگر آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم انہیں اس کی اجازت دے دیتے تو ہم بھی اپنے کو خصی بنا لیتے ۔

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سَعْدَ بْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، يَقُولُ لَقَدْ رَدَّ ذَلِكَ ـ يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ عَلَى عُثْمَانَ، وَلَوْ أَجَازَ لَهُ التَّبَتُّلَ لاَخْتَصَيْنَا.
